The Premier Greyhound Sales team head to Perry Barr on Monday 27th January 2025 for their first event of the calendar year. A whole host of exciting youngsters will be trialling on the morning with the afternoon auction sure to provide no end of excitement and anticipation for all those in attendance and bidding online. Without any doubt there are many within the sale who will be going on to compete at open and competition class throughout the year and with a number of prestigious puppy events soon on the horizon there is no better time to prepare your team’s for the year ahead.
Food and drink will be available at the track during the course of the day with gates opening to patrons at 9am with trials scheduled to start at 10am. The afternoon auction will begin approximately half an hour after the final trial.

DROOPYS LACEY – August 2023 daughter of Malachi out of Droopys Hunch who was a super open race performer on the track winning many top class opens around Shelbourne Park and famously reached the Juvenile Derby Final in 2019. Well proven in the breeding paddocks since retiring producing many open and competition class offspring including the likes of Droopys Edel a finalist in the Irish Oaks of 2024 and Droopys Eddie who has won opens in the UK around Romford , Monmore , Oxford and Towcester and of course reached the Puppy Derby Final at the latter in 2023. Reared and schooled to perfection by the famed Droopys team Lacey will arrive at Perry Barr on sales day without an official mark on her card but this young lady is very highly thought of both for her outstanding track promise in the immediate future and further down the line as a brood in her own right.
DROOPYS VITALITY – Another unraced bitch pup prospect from the Droopys team a product of the August 2023 litter by Droopys Flytline out of Droopys Meteor who was a strong running open class performer on the track and has been producing some ultra top class performers of her own since becoming a brood including the likes of Droopys Extragud the multiple UK open race winner and finalist in both the Juvenile Classic at Towcester and Puppy Classic at Nottingham in 2024. Droopys Prefect landed the Maiden Derby Final at Oxford in December 2024 whilst Julies Gem formerly known as Droopys Bridget reached the Galway Oaks Final in October of last year. Another top class track prospect who must have every chance of a successful brood career in the future.
SKILLED WARRIOR – Unraced son of Ballyhimikin Jet out of Charming Pet who raced only fleetingly on the track however still managed to record a 2859 race victory around Shelbourne Park and competed in open class at Clonmel. This is the maiden litter of Pet and the early signs are extremely promising. Just two of the litter have raced thus far with Approved Star already having won four times around Sheffield and competing in open and A1 class whilst Lennies Dream (Ex -Emperor Dream) currently has just the sole race to her name in which she ran out a sensational winner around Enniscorthy in 2877. Skilled Warrior himself has been held up in his schooling due to the inclement weather in Ireland but the signs are very positive with his sprint trials on the schooling track having been nothing short of sensational. He will arrive at the Perry Barr sale with just the sole four bend schooling trial under his belt so can only improve hugely and the shrewd Kennedy team fully expect this youngster to kick on and enjoy a very successful career in the highest reaches of the sport.
GOOD TOP BOY – March 2023 son of Ballyhimikin Jet out of Jaytee Sahara who was top open class on the track winning quality races all over Ireland over both four and six bends. Hailing from the Express Dancer dam line this lady has been passing on all of that undoubted pace and ability to her pups since retiring to the breeding paddocks being responsible for the likes of superstar Billys Diva the 2021 English Oaks Champion amongst many others. Good Top Boy was held up ever so slightly at the early schooling stage and then the winter weather came along so he’s a little later arriving at the sales than would have been anticipated but he’s good to go now. The Kennedy team report that he’s been showcasing a great deal of early pace in his schooling but is also seeing out the four bends well and the likes of sales venue Perry Barr should suit ideally. Big run expected and sure to prove very popular.
FALSE LASHES – Not a mark on the card of this June 2023 daughter of Coolavanny Hoffa out of Epic Lady who hailing from the Jaytee Sahara dam line obviously counts many open and competition class performers amongst her close relations. The likes of Billys Diva the sensational English Oaks Champion of 2021 as well as the likes of Freedom Epic the 2021 Tipperary Cup Champion to name just two are previous offspring of Epic Lady to have competed at and emerged victorious at the highest level. A dam line which consistently produces a great mixture of pace and stamina False Lashes is sure to be highly sought after with her on the day sales trial sure to attract much attention.
GLOBAL MAGMA – Not a mark on the card of this raw youngster who as a October 2023 whelp has her whole career ahead of her and can do nothing but improve for many months to come. A daughter of Confident Rankin out of Global Volcano the UK six bend open race winner around Towcester and finalist in the prestigious Shelbourne Marathon back in 2021. Volcano produced some nice high-grade performers in her maiden litter to Ballymac Best including Onlyinthejockey who showcased that Volcano is very much passing on her stamina laden qualities to her offspring when landing a 640m open at Newcastle in August of last year. Magma is very similarly bred to marathon superstar Savana Volcano and as such it’s highly likely she will not show her best for quite sometime to come with a future stepping up in trip sure to suit so whatever she does on sales day can confidently be expected to be improved upon massively in the months ahead.
TOMMYS DANCER – Unraced July 2023 daughter of Bull Run Bolt out of Newinn Melody a top-grade winner in her own right at Monmore and a full sister to superstar of the sport Newinn Taylor who famously landed the 2020 Irish Greyhound Derby Final. Posted 2939 around Cork this Tuesday on a track which many locals described as being on the slow side. This young lady could be anything and is another with huge prospects on the track and in the breeding paddocks.
TOMMYS MESSI – Unraced August 2023 son of Bull Run Bolt out of Holycross Heidi who is a well proven producer of high grade and open class offspring. Stunning brindle and white youngster who arrives reared and schooled to perfection but with many months of natural improvement left in the locker.
ROMANTIC BEN (EX – NOELLES QIPCO) – August 2023 dog pup by Good Cody out of Noelles Camino who being a daughter of Noelles Swiftco is related to many open and competition class performers including full sister Aayamza Dream the strong running UK open race star. Ben got his career up a running at just the third time of asking recently when running out a wide margin winner around Cork in 2933. Could be anything but surely destined for a career in the higher grades at a bare minimum.
MIDIAN LASS – Unraced July 2023 daughter of Malachi out of Not Me Anyway a four time race winner on Irish soil and this being her maiden litter who have been showcasing a good degree of promise during the rearing and schooling stages to date. Inside grading in both of her trials so far around Cork and though she’ll start off in the lower grades there is any amount of improvement to come.
IN FORM LADY – Not a single mark on the card of this exceptionally bred August 2023 lady by Coolavanny Hoffa out of Sizzling Daisy who is massively proven in as a brood counting many open and competition class performers amongst her illustrious offspring. Off The Pitch winner of the Islandbridge Open 350 Final at Shelbourne Park in 2022 and finishing third in the Juvenile Derby the previous year and sensational UK open race Look Like Power multiple big race finalist to name just two. Bred and reared by the famed McCusker team this youngster is without a shadow of a doubt one for the short term as a top class racing prospect but also possesses brood potential from the very highest tier.
MISS TEMPO – Unraced July 2023 daughter of Ballymac Cashout out of Nice As Ice the open / competition class daughter of super brood Bigmans Grainne which of course makes her a half sister to one of the UK’s leading superstars in recent years Ice On Fire. Miss Tempo’s litter are already starting to hit the track with the likes of Givemethemoney already competing in open class and top grade at Oxford. The litter have been pleasing the McCusker team at home for quite some time and with their knowledge of what it takes to become a champion in the sport that can only be a hugely positive sign. Fully expected to make into a high class sort on the track and is yet another young bitch in the sale with blood lines which firmly suggest a brood career of her own is more a probability than a possibility.
RADICAL ECLIPSE – Just the two educational races on the card of this July 2023 son of Coolavanny Hoffa out of An Cailin Alainn who has thrown plenty of open and competition class types in her litters to date including the 2024 Tipperary Cup Finalist Bonkersinyonkers. Eclipse himself posted 2935 around Kilkenny before making his competitive debut which very much marked him out as an above average type and his most recent 2927 trial around Shelbourne Park backs that up. Heading the right way and looks sure to be making his mark in decent company before too long.
NORDEN LIGHTS – Just the two races on the card of this wide running son of Auxerre and Otherdetails and got off the mark in the second of those when winning over 400 yards at Dundalk in 2209. Sure to prove a useful addition to any graded kennel where his wide running and competitive attitude will serve him well.
DROOPYS MIKAYLA – Unraced September 2023 daughter of Signet Ace and Droopys Ant who was a high class individual on the track competing in many big events and memorably landing the Southern Oaks Final at Youghal back in 2018. Has since gone on to establish herself as a brood of high regard producing open and competition class performers with regularity including the likes of Bubbly Bollinger who landed the Derby Plate Final in 2021. Reared and schooled to the high standards that the Droopys team are famous for this young bitch has been showing all the right signs of making into a high class individual and no doubt she will also be attractive to those with an eye on future breeding.
DROOPYS SOFTY – Unraced September 2023 daughter of Droopys Flytline and Droopys Meteor who was a strong running open class performer on the track and has been producing some really decent open and competition class performers since retiring to the breeding paddock. Full sister to Droopys Vitality who was previewed earlier on the card and it will be interesting to see how that lady performs as there is said to not be an awful lot between the pair at this early stage of their careers. Droopys bred and reared and that’s an asset that can only serve these pups well as they head into their competitive lives on the track.
EASY KENTUCKY – Early paced September 2023 son of Lenson Bocko out of Jumeirah Zena who was herself open class on the track and has been producing similarly pacey sorts in her maiden litter to Ballymac Cashout including Easy Player the dual open class winner around Romford. Just a couple of educational races on the card of Kentucky at this stage and no surprise to see him leaving that form way behind over the coming weeks with the shrewd Barry Rocks camp expecting this lad to move through the grades at a rapid rate of knots.
EASY NEVADA – Not a mark on the card of this October 2023 daughter of Ballyhimikin Jet and Gaytime Nina who was showing extreme promise before injury curtailed her track career at a young age. A full sister to the 2023 English Greyhound Derby Champion Gaytime Nemo this is Nina’s maiden litter and they have been pleasing connections with their keen attitude to please for many months now. A super prospect from the Barry Rock’s team and her on the day sales trial will be anticipated by many.
DERNVILLE LADY – Unraced May 2023 daughter of Grangeview Ten and Tibet who was top class on the track landing many big races and memorably lined up in the Christmas Oaks Final at Shelbourne Park back in 2017. Since then has gone on to produce many open and competition class performers including but certainly not limited to Make Noise the 2021 English Puppy Derby Champion. A winner of both of her trials to date including a wide margin trial success at Cork last time out in 2945.
GOT ONE BETTER – Full brother to Denville Lady and this lad has already got his career up and running with a super debut success at Limerick when overcoming an average start to soon kick on and win convincingly in 2962. Real nice type this and his early pace will undoubtedly serve his new connections well.
BALLYDOYLE TOBY – Unraced August 2023 son of Ballymac Cashout and Aayamza Lexie who was a strong running competition class performer on the track here in the UK winning many big races. Lexie’s maiden litter to Droopys Jet include Aayamza Jet who landed a top grade affair at Dundalk at the end of 2024 and looks all set to make into a nice open class type during the coming year. The 2929 recorded by Toby in what was so far the only trial on his card around Clonmel suggests that he too is an above average type and there will no doubt be plenty keen on adding him to their strengths.
FLASHING OZZIE – Unraced June 2023 dog pup by Droopys Sydney out of Glowing Exile who was an open race winner on the track over four, six and eight bends. Has been producing high grade and open class pups since retiring to the breeding paddocks and Ozzie looks sure to make into a nice type with time and most likely once stepped up in distance in the future.
TROMORA RUBY – Just the sole race on the card of this August 2023 daughter of Ballymac Bolger and Tromora Champion who should learn plenty from what was a tough ask on debut behind a 2851 Limerick winner. Posted 2937 at the same venue in a qualifying trial so the ability is definitely there and the dam produced some real nice open types in her maiden litter to Ballymac Best so every chance that this second litter will soon be making their marks in good class.
IVY HILL ZEUS – One of the best bred greyhounds in the sale of that there is little doubt and this son of Premier Fantasy and Crafty Kokoro has been pleasing the shrewd Hehir team for many months during rearing and early schooling sessions. A talented individual of that there is little doubt and it looks as if 2022 Irish Greyhound Derby Finalist and Corn Cuchulainn Champion from the same year Kokoro has passed on plenty of her superstar pace to her maiden litter offspring.
LOVER – Unraced June 2023 bitch by Ballyhimikin Jet out of Billys Diva who so memorably landed the English Oaks Final around sales venue Perry Barr in 2021. Has been reared and schooled to perfection by the Kennedy team back home and has a real nice attitude to her work. Expected to grade in nicely and soon find her way through the grades.
AMIGO STAR – Unraced June 2023 lady by Good Cody out of Deelish Oreo who hails from an extremely promising litter and herself is far from short of pace. Has been absolutely flying the lids in her schooling trials showcasing a great deal of early and middle pace. Has a huge heart and with her breeding could well be of interest as a brood further down the line. Savana Alice is the only one from the litter to have raced so far and is already a two time winner here in the UK at Oxford and is already competing in A1 and open class.
SPORTING LAMBADA – Unraced September 2023 son of Coolavanny Hoffa and Sporting Faith who was unraced and kept specifically for breeding given that she is a daughter of the mass open and competition class producing dam Sporting Riviera. Jerry Griffin’s Sporting kennels are synomonous with success on both sides of the Irish sea and they certainly know a good young greyhound when they see one and the words is that this lad is expected to be winning some nice races before too long. Trialled around Tralee just this week in 2990 leaving plenty on the track and can only improve hugely for that run.
SPORTING BALERO – Full brother to Lambada detailed above and another talented sort who will arrive at the Perry Barr sale without a single mark on his card. This pair of well bred brothers look like making into really nice types for new connections here in the UK. Trialled this week at Tralee posting a really pleasing 2964 and with plenty to come off that time in the weeks ahead the future looks bright.
NO BLACKOUT – Another talented unraced pup from the McCusker team and another whose breeding suggests a future at the top of the sport is more than a distinct possibility. Grangeview Ten needs no introduction a superstar on the track and has been producing some real nice pups since beginning his career at stud whilst dam Skywalker Bonnie was a regular top grade and open class winner on the track at Newcastle and being a daughter of Bigmans Grainne the signs are clear that this young dog has a big future ahead.
MISS DIRECT – Another unraced member of the July 2023 litter of Ballymac Cashout and Nice As Ice. This bitch pup couldn’t have been any more impressive when running out a wide margin winner of the only trial on her card at Lifford in 1783. It was some run from such a young and inexperienced bitch but highlighted perfectly why the McCusker team believe this lady is destined for a career in the very top echelons of the sport.
SANI DUNES – Unraced June 2023 son of Malachi out of Prime Time a bitch who will be familiar to many having landed the category one Essex Vase at Romford back in 2018. Since then her brood career has seen her produce a number of high class progeny and could it well be that Sani Dunes is the best yet ? Certainly his 2941 around Kilkenny in what is so far the only mark on his card suggests that he’s heading to the top and local trial watchers suggest that all of his best work was being done late which given his bloodlines should maybe not come as too much of a surprise.
UNTOLD CRUZADO – Unraced April 2023 son of Romeo Magico and Newinn Nifty who herself was a sensational open race performer on the track and a full sister to non other than 2020 Irish Greyhound Derby Champion Newinn Taylor. Couldn’t have been anymore impressive in what is so far the only mark on his card winning a 300 yard Kilkenny trial in 1655 by fully 7 ½ lengths. Strapping lad who weighed in for that aforementioned trial at 88lb with pace to match his physique.
TOMMYS FALCON – Unraced August 2023 son of Bull Run Bolt and Holycross Heidi who is a full brother to Tommys Messi who trials earlier on the sales card. Stunning fawn and white dog who looks all set to be making his mark here in the UK in the weeks and months ahead.
TOMMYS DASH – Just the sole trial currently on the card of this July 2023 son of Bull Run Bolt and Newinn Melody in which he ran out a wide margin winner around Cork in 2942. That trial came just this Tuesday on a track local judges had on the slow side. Dam Melody was a top grade winner at Monmore and of course a full sister to Newinn Taylor the 2020 Irish Greyhound Derby Champion.
MIDIAN ALDI – Unraced July 2023 daughter of Malachi out of Not Me Anyway who looks sure to grade in nicely here in the UK before moving nicely through the grades.
CRAFTY FRITTO – Lightly raced July 2023 bitch who is a daughter of Burgess Bucks and Coolavanny Bondi. Already a race winner on Irish soil courtesy of a super early paced 2929 effort at Cork in December. Sure to race at a decent level here in the UK with her likeable attitude and early pace sure to serve well.
SOUPY – Unraced June 2023 son of Coolavanny Hoffa out of Epic Lady who hails from the famed Jaytee Sahara dam line responsible for many of the sports recent history superstars including the likes of Billys Diva the 2021 English Oaks Champion. Despite stumbling at the traps on what was his second ever official trial he still managed to win convincingly by 5 lengths in a time of 1932 around Shelbourne Park. Decent type expected to go well on sales day.
SIDE CHICK – Unraced June 2023 daughter of Broadstrand Bono out of Meenagh Miracle who was a superstar on the track winning many big races and famously finishing runner up in the 2020 Irish Greyhound Derby Final. Since retirement has been producing some nice pups of her own including Bubbly Athena (ex Northies) who was sold at the Towcester sale back in March 2023 and has since gone on to win opens over four bends there and over the short six bend course at Romford. Just the two trials on her card winning the second of those in 1966 at Shelbourne Park.
FALSE WARRIOR – Another unraced member of the June 2023 litter of Coolavanny Hoffa and Epic Lady who is reported to have been schooling well. On the day sales trial will be informative but no surprise to see him making into a nice type here in the UK.

GOOD MARTINI – Unraced May 2023 daughter of Ballyhimikin Jet and from the maiden litter of Charming Pet. This litter is held in the highest of esteem with the only two to have raced thus far already becoming the talk of their tracks with Approved Star already a four time race winner who is competing in A1 and open class and Lennies Dream ( Ex -Emperor Dream) having scorched to victory around Kilkenny in 2877 on what is so far her sole start. GREENHILL MAC – Unraced September 2023 son of Malachi out of Sidarian Fern who was a top open class bitch on the track landing some big events including the Suirview Kennels Bitch Stake Final at Clonmel back in 2018. Has been producing some decent top grade and open class sorts in her litters to date. Mac has just the sole trial to his name posting 1884 around Drumbo Park.
EASY ARIEL – Stunningly bred and unraced August 2023 youngster from one of the leading set ups in Ireland the famed Barry Rocks establishment. A set up which primes their greyhounds for their sporting careers ahead and it’s no wonder youngsters from this set up regularly go on to enjoy top class careers here in the UK. Ariel is a daughter of Ballymac Best out of the superstar bitch Ballymac Ariel who famously landed the IGOBF National Puppy 525 Final at Shelbourne Park in 2020 ahead of going on to enjoy a fabulous career in against all aged opposition. This is Ballymac Ariel’s maiden litter and if the jungle drums are anything to go by they could be an above average group.
DROOPYS MELON – Not a mark on the card of this September 2023 daughter of Droopys Sydney out of Droopys Fia who hails from the famed Droopys Coast dam line. Fia has been producing open and competition class greyhounds regularly since retiring to the breeding paddocks being responsible for the likes of Droopys Polish who reached The Laurels Final at Cork in October 2024. Likely to be extremely highly sought after for what promises to be both a top-class track career and for her exceptional bloodlines which leave her with every chance of continuing one of the most sought-after breeding lines around.
DROOPYS ERNEST – Another stunning puppy prospect from the Droopys team with Ernest being extremely highly thought of. Not a mark on the card of this unraced September 2023 son of Signet Ace and Droopys Ant who famously landed the Southern Oaks around Youghal in 2018 and has since been producing top class pups including the likes of Bubbly Bollinger the 2021 Derby Plate Champion. Ernest is held in high regard by his team back home and will be another that many are keen to add to their strengths.
MR FITBIT – Another of the Grangeview Ten and Skywalker Bonnie litter who arrives similarly unraced and without a mark on his card. Bonnie was an exceptional talent on the track in her own right but being a daughter of the esteemed Bigmans Grainne it’s clear to see why both Mr Fitbit and this litter in general will have so many eyes focussed upon them. Bred and reared by the McCusker team a big run is expected on sales day. Will not come cheaply but class never does.
VISION OF HOPE – Full sister to Mr Fitbit detailed above and highly thought of but this lady also has the added bonus of becoming a brood further down the line. With her breeding that’s an extremely attractive proposition.
TROMORA JOJO – Super unraced puppy prospect from the shrewd and knowledgeable Noel Hehir set up. This son of Ballymac Bolger and Tromora Champion trialled at Cork on Tuesday of this week winning easily by an ever increasing 16 lengths and posting a fabulous 2903 in the process. Noted doing all of his best work late it should come as no surprise that he was clocked posting 12.34 coming home a time which suggests a career over six bends is a distinct possibility.
IVY HILL GYPSY – Unraced August 2023 bitch pup by the mighty Pestana out of Coolavanny Chick. Looks like grading on nicely for new connections here in the UK and shouldn’t be too long before she’s climbing the grades.
ROMANTIC BOXER (EX – SALEEN BALE) – Two-time race winner on Irish soil from just seven career races to date including a super early pace always led victory around Cork on his last start in 2895. Without doubt one for those looking to land a nice touch early on.
LADY POP – Race winner at Newbridge last October leading all the way to record a more than decent 2916. One that knows her job and with her early pace is sure to get things done in a professional manner.
