A sunny day by the seaside was enjoyed by the International Greyhound Services team buoyed by an above average sale at Yarmouth with 40 greyhounds finding new homes.
Fastest of the day was Stonepark Nathan (Coolavanny Hoffa x Stonepark Molly, June 24) who stopped the clock at 28.26 before being sold for £4600 to Gary Armstrong and ‘Nathan’ will join the ranks of the young Nottingham trainer Kelly Wilton.
Top Lot of the day went to So Sassy (Ballymac Cashout x Nice As Ice, December 24) for a very reasonable £5000 and she joins the Ricky Thom kennel at Yarmouth.
The turnover surpassed a little over £85,000 and Nathan Corden said “I was very happy with the sale – Yarmouth is always well supported on the day. The track was in great condition and the staff always make you feel very welcome and cannot help you enough. Pleasingly, a large number of the purchases will remain at Yarmouth to continue their racing careers.”
