A fantastic start to the year for Premier Greyhound Sales yesterday at Perry Barr!
As expected, the top lot of the day was Untold Cruzado. The April 23 son of Romeo Magico by Newinn Nifty showed great early pace stopping the clock in 29.17 and was being closed down on the home straight by trial companion Sani Dunes. Both lots have joined the Romford ranks of Paul Young for £10,000 and £4,100 respectively.
Fastest time of the day was a joint affair when Lot 20 Got One Better and Lot 36 Crafty Fritto both stopped the clock in the same 29.12. Got One Better was purchased for £7000 by Bob Hall and Crafty Fritto sold for £5000 again to the Paul Young kennel.
Overall, 49 of the 50 lots presented for sale were sold for a little over a combined £118,000.
Nathan Corden said “There was a good crowd in the room at Perry Barr and the online bidding was bouyant, so all in all, it was a cracking first (and unfortunately last) visit to Perry Barr. I would like to thank the staff who worked hard to repair the damaged hare motor which caused Trial 12 to be a No Trial – these things happen but they managed to fix it and we finished the trial session.”
