It was a very busy sales floor at Romford on Thursday 17th July despite only 41 (85%) of the 48 lots selling for a combined £117,150. This averages out at just over £2850 per greyhound.
Fastest of the day (24.17) was the very young April 2024 Rapido Rosin by Grangeview Ten out of Chelms Ramona. She also proved to be the top lot on the day fetching £16,800 and subsequently joining the Paul Young training ranks.
Other notable purchases included the eye catching Droopys Tiffany at £12,000 who will now enter the Sean Parker kennels; Mustang Rocket (24.24) was purchased for £7800 and joins Paul Young, as does Feeling The Love (24.52) who was purchased for £74000. Holloway Racing snapped up Droopys Verdict (24.45) for £8200 and looks to be one to keep an eye on in the future.
Nathan Corden says “It was a good overall day at Romford and I’m pleased they have benefitted by over 65% of the greyhounds sold staying within their Entain family.”
