Hove Sale Results

Nathan Corden reported being frustrated by the large number of non-runners at the Hove sale, but overall satisfied by results on the day.

“It was very disappointing to lose so many. I had a full 50 for the sale, but then 4 dropped out just before the catalogue was released meaning we went with 46. However to lose a further 13 was annoying and some were for avoidable reasons such as wrong vaccination dates. I perhaps need to review the list of vendors for 2026.”

“Despite only 36 greyhounds, there was still some good money around from a very healthy crowd gathered at Hove. The turnover was £74,000 and with 34 of the 36 lots sold that gave an average price of £2,176 per greyhound.”

Top lot of  the day was number 43 Mustang Tory, a January 24 black daughter of Tory Aria by Dromana Bucko who sold for £8,100. She stopped the clock in 30.06 and joins Spencer Mavrias kennels for Colin Moore.

Fastest of the day was the 29.74 posted by Swithins Jim and he was purchased by Ben Owen for £4,000 and will join the Nathan Hunt kennels.
