The Sale at Central Park yesterday was deemed a success yesterday by Nathan Corden who said “There was a good crowd who attended on the day and it was surprising to see a few faces from the Midlands/North had travelled down to the venue. It was our first sale at Central Park and the track and staff were excellent, so hopefully we will be able to include it on our 2027 schedule again.”
43 of the 50 lots were sold for just under £90,000. Top lot was Droopys Drumbeat, a young October 24 bitch by Droopys Flytline by Droopys Dancer. She fetched £7800 and has returned to Ireland where she will race and then be retired to the breeding paddocks.
Other notable purchases include Droopys Salou at £6700 who joins the Belinda Green kennels, Rolo Twix at £5600 joins the David Verner kennels and also the sprint trial winner Stonepark Kirby (who clocked 16.61) at £4100 is Romford bound and joins the Gemma Evans kennels.
