International Greyhound Services return to Monmore on Friday 12th June 2026 for another busy daytime sale, with gates set to open at 9.15am and trials due to commence at 10.15am.
The catalogue contains a wide mixture of unraced youngsters, lightly schooled pups and several greyhounds with solid Irish form already on the card. There are plenty of well-bred types throughout, with runners by sires such as Droopys Sydney, Pestana, Grangeview Ten, Newinn Taylor, Ballymac Cashout, Dorotas Wildcat, Signet Ace and Dromana Bucko.
As always, the pre-sale trials will provide the clearest guide on the day, but there is plenty for buyers to study in advance. This latest sales preview, as usual, is expertly brought to you by Mark Pierrepont.
LOT 1 – BALLINABOLA FAYE
(Droopys Sydney x Ballymac Freya) (b) Jul 2024
Ballinabola Faye has just the one official race on her card, finishing second at Enniscorthy on 1st June in 29.04. She showed plenty of middle pace throughout that contest and shaped with promise in defeat.
The pedigree is another obvious attraction. Dam Ballymac Freya was a strong-running A1 winner who also competed in open class company. She has since established herself as a proven producer of high-grade and open class performers. Freya is a daughter of the superb brood Ballymac Cameo, making her closely related to numerous top-class performers including the outstanding Ballymac Ariel.
LOT 2 – BALLINABOLA TONI
(Ballinabola Ed x Vinegarhill Toni) (d) Nov 2024
Ballinabola Toni has just the one official race on his card, finishing fourth at Enniscorthy in 29.47. I would expect him to improve hugely on that effort and the bare form should not be taken too literally at this early stage of his career.
The pedigree is another obvious positive. Dam Vinegarhill Toni was herself a top-grade performer on the track and has gone on to produce both high-grade and open class performers since retiring to the breeding paddocks.
LOT 3 – BIT OF CHEDDAR
(Jacktavern Gem x Fleadh Saraide) (d) Sep 2024
Bit Of Cheddar arrives at Monmore without a single mark on his card, making the sales day trial particularly informative.
The pedigree is certainly worthy of attention. Dam Fleadh Saraide dead-heated in the 2024 Irish Oaks Final at Shelbourne Park. This represents her first litter and reports from Ireland suggest the youngsters have shown promise throughout both the rearing and schooling stages. With no public form available, buyers will be relying heavily on what Bit Of Cheddar produces on the track at Monmore.
LOT 4 – SHARKEYS SLOUGH

Sharkeys Slough is lightly raced and further improvement can be expected. He has already shown useful ability in sprint company, winning at Drumbo Park in 18.55 having previously recorded 18.42.
Those performances suggest he possesses a fair degree of early pace and may be particularly well suited to the sharper four-bend tracks and possibly sprint distances in the UK.
LOT 5 – SPORTING FINGERS
(Droopys Flytline x Ballymac Saga) (d) Feb 2025
Sporting Fingers arrives at Monmore without a single mark on his card.
He hails from the famed Jerry Griffin establishment and has no doubt received nothing but the very best throughout both the rearing and schooling stages. Dam Ballymac Saga was herself an open class performer who memorably reached the final of the English Oaks in 2019. Since retiring to the breeding paddocks she has gone on to establish an excellent reputation, producing numerous open class performers of her own.
LOT 6 – SPORTING BUCHAN
(Newinn Taylor x Sporting Faith) (b) Feb 2025
Sporting Buchan is another without a mark on her card and, like Sporting Fingers, hails from the highly respected Jerry Griffin establishment.
Dam Sporting Faith never raced herself but is already proving herself in the breeding paddocks and is responsible for pups of quite some standing, including Sporting Boogie, who only recently recorded an impressive 29.12 around Towcester.
LOT 7 – SIDE DEAL
(Grangeview Ten x Blossoms Pet) (d) Jan 2024
Side Deal brings some of the strongest exposed form in the catalogue.
A really pacey sort, he has already recorded three terrific victories. His success over 400 yards at Dundalk in 21.21 demonstrated his speed, while a 28.72 victory over 525 yards at Limerick confirmed his ability over standard distances. He has also shown his versatility with a 29.86 success over 550 yards at Shelbourne Park.
LOT 8 – LOOK AND LISTEN
(Dorotas Wildcat x Raha Mofo) (d) Jan 2025
Look And Listen is a strapping 80lb January 2025 dog with just two trials on his card. His latest outing came at Shelbourne Park where he recorded 29.50. He stood no chance with the outstanding 28.31 winner of that particular trial and understandably got a little lost in behind, so there should be plenty left in the locker.
Dam Raha Mofo was a genuine superstar on the track, winning both the Irish Oaks and Galway Oaks in 2022 before adding the Limerick Oaks in 2023. Word from the shrewd Brendan Matthews team is that this 2025 litter by Dorotas Wildcat could be of an even higher calibre than her previous litter.
LOT 9 – LINCOLN DAHLIA

Lincoln Dahlia showed plenty of early promise when recording 29.28 at Clonmel. While subsequent form has been disappointing, it is far too early to be writing her off and a fresh start in the UK could well prove beneficial.
LOT 10 – FINNERY BUCKO
(Dromana Bucko x Riverside Cher) (d) Oct 2024
Finnery Bucko is a powerful-looking 75lb dog who has shown reasonable promise in his trial work to date. His best effort came at Newbridge when recording 29.70.
He remains very much at the beginning of his career and there is every chance there is more to come as he continues to mature physically and mentally.
LOT 11 – CRAFTY BOYO
(Newinn Taylor x Crafty Shivoo) (d) Feb 2025
Crafty Boyo has looked very green in his two career races to date, suggesting there should be plenty more to come once experience begins to kick in. Despite that inexperience, he still posted a highly respectable 29.33 at Shelbourne Park on his latest start.
The pedigree is a major attraction. This is the maiden litter from Crafty Shivoo, winner of the 2023 Irish Oaks at Shelbourne Park, the 2023 Empress Stakes at Towcester and the 2024 Irish Laurels at Cork.
LOT 12 – GOLDSTAR CONNIE

Goldstar Connie has just two races on her card and made an immediate impression when winning on debut around Shelbourne Park in late April. That victory was achieved in 29.63 despite encountering trouble in running.
Dam Paradise Asia was an open class winner on the track and has gone on to establish herself as a proven producer of quality performers, including 2025 Champion Stakes finalist Cheque For Cash.
LOT 13 – DAPPER DIAMOND

Dapper Diamond arrives at Monmore without a single mark on his card.
Dam Dapper Rose never raced herself but is a daughter of the competition class producing brood Mustang Jill. This represents Dapper Rose’s maiden litter and the sales day trial will provide buyers with their first opportunity to assess the line.
LOT 14 – LETS GO MO

Lets Go Mo arrives at Monmore without a single mark on his card.
Dam Thisonesforyou was unraced herself but is a daughter of the outstanding Unlock Unlock, one of the most influential brood bitches of recent times. This youngster is also a product of the esteemed Sean Conway setup, ensuring he has received the very best possible start to life.
LOT 15 – AMAZING POWER

Amazing Power is yet to win in his three starts, but he took a big step forward last time out, clocking a notable 29.28 at Limerick in defeat.
Dam Deelish Oreo is a proven producer of top-class offspring, including Lennies Tank, who recently qualified for the English Derby Final but was unfortunately withdrawn due to injury. This youngster also comes from the shrewd Kennedy team and looks a youngster on the up.
LOT 16 – IM ON FIRE

Im On Fire is yet to get his head in front after three starts, but he has shown genuine pace in both trials and races, giving every indication there is plenty to come.
Being out of Hugh Dream, a dam who has already produced numerous top-class open and competition-class sorts including BoyleSports Gift and BoyleSports Vic, this is a line that regularly throws up quality performers. Im On Fire definitely falls into the “could be anything” category.
LOT 17 – MOANTEEN ACE

This is the dam’s maiden litter and the crop has looked decent throughout both the rearing and schooling stages.
Dam Moanteen Sassy raced in open class company over six bends and is a litter sister to the superstar Bockos Diamond, winner of the 2024 Irish Derby and runner-up in the 2025 English Derby. Moanteen Ace has shown enough to suggest ability is there and his sales day trial will be particularly interesting. He definitely has more to offer going forward.
LOT 18 – MOVE OVER MANLY

This is the dam’s maiden litter, but she competed in top-grade company over four bends and open class company over six. A strong-running stayer, Call Me Luna has already shown the ability to perform at a high level and, being a daughter of Ballymac Saga, stamina should be no issue going forward for Move Over Manly.
LOT 19 – DARK DREAMER

Dark Dreamer comes from a repeat mating of Ballymac Cashout and Nice As Ice, a pairing that has already produced high-grade and open-class sorts.
Dark Dreamer has shown real promise during schooling and, given her bloodlines, looks to have a decent career ahead of her here in the UK. Coming from the highly respected Ronan McCusker setup, quality breeding, rearing and schooling to this stage can be assured.
LOT 20 – DASH POWER

Dash Power is from the same repeat Ballymac Cashout and Nice As Ice mating that has already produced high-grade and open-class performers.
Like his litter sister, he has shown real promise during schooling and looks to have plenty going for him. The Ronan McCusker team know exactly what is required to produce young greyhounds and this youngster appears another likely type from a very successful line.
LOT 21 – MOSS KING

Moss King already has some terrific runs on his card. He has won twice at Dundalk, including a sharp 21.42 over 400 yards, and also scored at Drumbo Park in 28.86.
Most recently he produced a strong-finishing 28.68 victory in A1 company at Shelbourne Park. Those performances suggest buyers are looking at a ready-made type capable of competing in top-grade and open-class company.
LOT 22 – PONYUP
(Ballymac Cashout x Kilmore Diamond) (d) Oct 2024
Ponyup very much looks the part of an open or competition-class performer. His two Shelbourne Park victories in 29.00 and 28.87 strongly mark him out as an above-average type and, given his strapping size of 81lb, he can only improve for quite some time to come.
The pedigree is equally appealing. From a previous litter came Kilmore Dancer, a strong-running open-class star here in the UK who reached the final of the Blue Riband at Towcester in 2025. His full brother Sleight Of Hand has already won three of his five races and is now competing in AA0 company.
LOT 23 – DUNSTEIN

Dunstein has shown plenty of early pace in his races to date and looks the type who could be well suited to the sharper four-bend circuits and graded sprint company in the UK.
His early speed is an obvious asset and, in the right company, he could quickly make his presence felt for new connections.
LOT 24 – SOUTHWOOD JAKE

Southwood Jake remains unraced but has shown enough in his limited trial work to suggest ability is there. His two trials on the card include a pleasing 29.73 effort at Clonmel.
Dam Knockmill Girl has already established herself as a proven producer of open class performers. With only two trials to his name, there should be plenty more to come and his sales day trial will be followed with considerable interest.

Those achievements underline the strength of the family and suggest this youngster has every chance of developing into a smart performer in her own right.
LOT 27 – TENSIONSAREHIGH

Tensionsarehigh is a British-bred January 2025 youngster by Droopys Addition out of Keefill Peppa. There is not a single mark on her card at present, but she has been very well reared and schooled and comes into the sale with a favourable reputation.
Her British-bred status will make her eligible for the many valuable British Bred competitions on offer in the months and years ahead, adding further appeal for prospective buyers.
LOT 28 – DAPPER ADDY

His trial should prove highly informative and will provide the first real indication of the level of ability he possesses. Another youngster worthy of close inspection on sales day.
LOT 31 – IVY HILL ARNIE

Ivy Hill Arnie boasts a pedigree that immediately catches the eye. Dam Coolavanny Chick was a high-class performer on the track, memorably finishing third in the 2020 English Derby Final, and has since established herself as a well-proven producer of open and competition class performers.
Arnie himself has already shown promise in his trial work, posting a pleasing 28.99 at Limerick. Given his substantial 82lb frame, there is every reason to believe there is plenty more to come as he continues to mature and strengthen.

On breeding and running style, there is every reason to believe he will see out the four-bend distances without any issue and could well prove into a top open class prospect.
LOT 34 – DONISHALL MAJOR

Donishall Major has only the one trial currently on his card, but he could hardly have done much more than win it. That success came at Enniscorthy where he posted 19.37, a performance that offered plenty of encouragement for the future.
With such limited public evidence available, his sales day trial will provide a much clearer indication of where he currently stands, but the early signs are certainly positive. Having already shown the ability to get the job done when asked, this youngster is another who could attract plenty of interest from buyers looking for an unexposed prospect.
LOT 35 – RUSSIAN DOCTOR

Russian Doctor has two identical sprint trials on his card, both recorded in 17.48 at Derry, suggesting a fair degree of consistency at this early stage of his career.
On what he has shown so far, he looks the type who could prove ideally suited to the graded scene, but there is also every reason to believe there is plenty more to come as experience and maturity begin to take effect. Still very much a work in progress, he has the profile of a youngster capable of progressing steadily through the grades for new connections.
His sales day trial should provide further clues, but he is another who appeals as an unexposed prospect with improvement ahead of him.
LOT 36 – GREENMOUNT HAWK

Greenmount Hawk already boasts some very appealing form on his card and comes to Monmore as a two-time race winner in Ireland.
His victories have come in 29.28 and 28.73 respectively at Shelbourne Park, performances that underline both his ability and consistency. Any youngster capable of producing that level of form around Ireland’s premier circuit immediately commands attention, and there is every reason to believe further progress can be made as experience continues to build.
A recent 28.57 trials at Shelbourne Park and still with plenty of racing ahead of him, Greenmount Hawk looks the type who should make a smooth transition to the UK scene and continue progressing for new connections.
LOT 37 – MUSTANG ON FIRE

Mustang On Fire has just two trial efforts on his card to date, but both have been highly encouraging. He recorded 29.30 at Clonmel before following up with a 29.43 effort at Kilkenny, performances that suggest there is definite ability there.
With only those two trials to assess, he remains very much an unexposed prospect and one whose best days should lie ahead of him. The natural progression that comes with maturity and experience should see him continue to move forward in the coming months.
His sales day trial will be followed with considerable interest and he looks another youngster capable of making a favourable impression on prospective buyers.
LOT 38 – RETURN FIRE

Return Fire remains very much at the beginning of his career but has already shown enough to suggest there is ability there. In just his second ever trial he recorded a pleasing 29.62 at Clonmel, a performance that offered plenty of encouragement for the future.
With so little public evidence available, there is every chance that natural improvement and experience will bring about further progress in the months ahead. The sales day trial should provide a clearer indication of where he currently stands, but the signs so far have been positive.
An unexposed youngster with scope for development, Return Fire is another who could attract attention from buyers looking for a prospect with his best days still firmly ahead of him.
LOT 39 – GOOD HERO

Good Hero looks a really nice prospect from the highly respected Kennedy team, who continue to send quality youngsters to the UK sales circuit.
There is just the sole trial on his card at present, but it was an encouraging effort, posting 16.97 at Kilkenny. While still very much an unexposed youngster, that performance suggests there is ability there and his sales day trial should provide a much clearer indication of his current level.
With the benefit of the excellent rearing and schooling associated with the Kennedy operation, Good Hero is another youngster who comes to Monmore with a favourable profile and plenty of potential for the future.
LOT 40 – GOOD HORMUZ

Good Hormuz is an unraced member of the well-bred Signet Ace x Billys Diva litter and comes to Monmore with a favourable reputation.
He has just the one trial on his card, posting a pleasing 29.84 at Kilkenny, a performance that suggests there is plenty to work with. Still very much at the beginning of his journey, he remains an unexposed prospect with obvious scope for improvement as experience and maturity begin to take effect.
Dam Billys Diva was a superstar on the track, winning the English Oaks in 2021, and has since gone on to produce open and competition class performers with regularity. Highly thought of by connections, Good Hormuz looks the type who can develop into a very nice performer for his new owners.

Dam Getwiththetimes was a superb competition class performer in her own right and is a daughter of Precious Story, winner of the prestigious Greyhound Trader Stakes on English Derby Final night in 2021.
These are stamina-laden bloodlines and there is every indication that Soloist will appreciate a true test as his career develops. With all the hard work already done and a strong family behind him, he looks another highly interesting prospect heading into the sale.

White Runners already brings some solid racecourse form to the table, having won twice in Ireland. Most notably, he produced a superb 21.37 victory at Dundalk on his latest start, a performance that highlighted both his pace and current well-being.
Those exposed credentials make him an attractive proposition for buyers looking for a youngster who has already demonstrated an ability to get the job done on the track. With two victories already to his name and still open to further improvement, he looks capable of continuing his progression for new connections.
Another quality representative from the Brendan Matthews team, White Runners arrives at Monmore with plenty in his favour and looks a youngster capable of making his mark on the UK scene.

Sporting Lovers arrives at Monmore without a single mark on the card but comes from one of the most respected establishments in Ireland, the Jerry Griffin team.
As buyers have come to expect from that kennel, this youngster has been given every opportunity throughout both the rearing and schooling stages and is reported to be held in high regard by connections. While there is no public form available at present, the sales day trial should provide a valuable insight into the level of ability he possesses.
A highly thought of youngster from a kennel with an outstanding record of producing quality performers, Sporting Lovers is sure to attract plenty of attention on sales day.
LOT 44 – SPORTING MATE

Combined with the excellent reputation of the Griffin establishment for rearing and schooling young greyhounds, it is easy to see why this youngster appeals on paper.
As with Sporting Lovers, there is no public form available at present, but reports from Ireland have been encouraging and his sales day trial will be followed with considerable interest. Another highly promising prospect from a kennel that consistently sends well-prepared youngsters to the UK market.
LOT 45 – EMERS JULIE

Emers Julie already boasts a very appealing profile, having won twice in Ireland and showing a particularly useful blend of early pace and race craft.
Her latest success came around Clonmel where she made every yard of the running, recording a smart 29.03 after breaking from the traps with a flying 2.85 sectional. That display of early speed immediately catches the eye and suggests she possesses the sort of pace that can prove a major asset on UK circuits.
Already a proven winner and still open to further progression, Emers Julie looks the type who should continue to pay her way and could prove a very shrewd acquisition for new connections.
LOT 46 – EMERS ROXANNE

An unraced youngster without a single mark on his card, he boasts an outstanding pedigree being by Dorotas Wildcat out of Tromora Champion. The family has already produced quality performers and there is every reason to believe this youngster can follow in their footsteps.
With no public form available, buyers will be relying heavily on what they see from his sales day trial, but the breeding leaves little doubt that the potential is there. LOT 49 – ROMANTIC GEEZER (ex–Come On Geezer)

Formerly known as Come On Geezer, Romantic Geezer remains unraced but has already shown enough in trial company to suggest there is ability there.
His best effort to date is a pleasing 29.41 at Cork, a run which offers plenty of encouragement given his lack of experience. With only trial form available at present, there is every chance that natural improvement and race experience will see him continue to progress over the coming months.
An unexposed youngster with a solid trial performance already on the card, Romantic Geezer is another who could make a favourable impression when he takes to the track on sales day.
LOT 50 – CHASING NIAMH

Chasing Niamh looks the type who should prove a useful addition to the graded ranks for her new connections.
While she may not immediately appeal as an open class prospect, she has the attributes to pay her way and should be capable of winning her share of races once finding her level. Greyhounds of this type often prove excellent purchases, providing plenty of enjoyment and regular success on the graded scene.
With further experience and natural progression still to come, Chasing Niamh looks a straightforward and likeable sort who should give a good account of herself wherever she ends up.
RESERVE A – AMYS PARADISE

Amys Paradise remains completely unexposed with no official races on her card, but she has already shown enough in trial company to suggest there is ability there.
Her best effort to date came when recording 29.42 at Limerick, while she also posted 29.89 at Thurles and finished second in a Drumbo trial behind Southwood Jake. Those performances indicate a youngster who is learning her craft and should continue to progress with experience.
Being by Newinn Taylor out of Bockos Melody, she boasts a pedigree that offers plenty of encouragement. As with many of the unraced youngsters in this catalogue, her sales day trial will provide buyers with the clearest indication of her current level of ability.
RESERVE B – BALLYHIMIKIN LAD

Ballyhimikin Lad already has several runs on his card and looks the type who should adapt well to the graded scene in the UK.
His best effort came when recording 28.93 over 525 yards, while he has also shown useful pace in sprint company, clocking 17.57 on two occasions. Although he remains lightly raced, those performances suggest there is enough ability there to make him an appealing proposition for prospective buyers.
Still relatively inexperienced and open to further improvement, Ballyhimikin Lad looks capable of progressing steadily with racing.
RESERVE C – HEROIC KING

Heroic King brings some of the strongest exposed form among the reserves.
He recorded an impressive 29.44 victory at Kilkenny when scoring by over eleven lengths and has also posted useful efforts at both Shelbourne Park and Kilkenny against decent opposition. Those performances suggest buyers are looking at a youngster with genuine ability already established on the card.
By King Sheeran out of Runninta Luvya, he combines proven racecourse form with a pedigree that suggests there could still be more to come. He looks one of the standout reserve entries.
RESERVE D – LOVE THE NAME

Love The Name is another youngster from the outstanding Raha Mofo line and therefore immediately commands attention on pedigree alone.
She has only one public trial to her name but shaped with considerable promise when finishing second behind Soloist at Pelaw. That performance suggested ability is already there and, given her lack of experience, there is every chance there is considerably more to come.
Being by Dorotas Wildcat out of Irish Oaks winner Raha Mofo, she boasts one of the most appealing pedigrees in the entire sale and is likely to attract plenty of interest from buyers looking for a well-bred prospect.
RESERVE E – MACROMPIAN MAID

Macrompian Maid has already shown enough in her limited appearances to suggest she possesses ability.
She has finished second on all three recorded outings, including a respectable 30.54 at Cork and an 18.32 sprint effort over 330 yards. While she remains a maiden, those performances indicate consistency and suggest a first victory may not be far away.
Still at the beginning of her career and open to natural progression, Macrompian Maid looks the type who could develop into a useful performer for her new connections and is another reserve worthy of close inspection.
